PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
AMENDMENTS TO ZONING ORDINANCE
TOWN OF RICH SQUARE

The Town of Rich Square Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 6, 2026, beginning at 5:00 PM at the Rich Square Town Annex located at 112 E. Jackson St. in Rich Square, North Carolina, to consider the following:
1. Proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Article VI, Sections 6.6 & 6.7 and Article VII to add Electronic Gaming Establishments as a special use along with provisions for standards under Section 7.10.
2. Proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, Article VII adding a new Section 7.12, Mobile Food Vendors to define this use and standards required for a town permit.
3. Proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, Article VII adding a new Section 7.11, Complexes, to define all types and establish standards. Article VI, Section 6-4, Apartments and Office District to add single-family complex as a permitted use with standards.
4. Proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Article XIII, Definitions, to add several definitions.

The public is invited to attend. The purpose of the public hearing is to provide interested parties with an opportunity to receive an explanation of the proposals and to comment on the proposals.
